Construction Contracts Down In Pittsburgh Area

Contracts for future construction projects in the Pittsburgh area were down 42% in November, according to a report in today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  Year-to-date, the dollar amount of contracts was down 20% from the same period a year ago.  A seven-county area including Allegheny County was surveyed.

If there was ever a favorable climate for bidding out the Mt. Lebanon High School renovation project, it's now.  Let's work to keep this project on track so that maximum savings can be realized for taxpayers.  What can you do?  Write to the School Board and let them know how you feel -- they're at schoolboard@mtlsd.net.
